West Lodge Pottery offers pottery classes at our Thornham Walks workshop. We offer a 2 1/2 hour morning session every Wednesday where you will receive instruction on how to model your very own pot, decorate it and make it ready for firing.
We cater for all ages from young budding potters to older generations looking to learn a new skill. We prefer small groups to ensure maximum time with us so we can guide you as much as possible to creating your work of art.
We take a very informal approach to our classes to ensure the most relaxed environment possible. Our main aim is to provide you with a platform to explore your artistic flair and be on hand to guide you to achieving the best results possible.
HERE’S A GUIDELINE OF WHAT WE PROVIDE
Workshops teaching the process of pottery production to include:-
- Throwing on the wheel
- Handbuilding sculpture
- Construction of coil pots
- Basic decorating techniques
The cost is £50 per person
The session runs from 10am to 12:30pm
Available on Wednesday mornings only (Childrens groups arranged separately – please email for availability)
Please get in touch with us using our enquiry form to register your interest and we can get you booked in. To book your place, £25 is payable before the day of the class via our Paypal. The balance can then be paid on the day.
